Poster Child – “Disco Duck”

/

The just-released “Disco Duck” comes from Nashville duo Poster Child, whose debut EP Death Star Cadillac releases on May 22nd. Impressing back in March with the EP’s self-titled track, Poster Child again strut a super-fun sound entrenched in disco pop, funk, and many things nostalgic and danceable. “Disco Duck” is not the 1976 Rick Dees-recorded disco classic, though feels of a similar era — with Andrew’s funk guitar licks and Theresa’s invigorating vocal presence exuding a timeless aura. The duo’s upcoming EP, releasing on 5/22, has all the makings of a high quality release, based on this and the self-titled track.

“Disco Duck” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of May 2019’ Spotify playlist.
