“Timothy Dalton” is a debonair rock success from Miracle on Film, the project of Los Angeles based multi-instrumentalist and producer Alex Pace. Miracle on Film caught our ears this past spring with the Twisting the Knife EP, and “Timothy Dalton” further displays Pace’s knack for infectious, tightly produced rockers.
Understated guitar twangs drive into bursting expanse, falling back again into vocals remarking “nothing much to do around here in this gilded cage.” The “only get my fix living in the past,” soaring exhilarates, with the ensuing vibrant guitar line driving into an organ-laden psych-rock bolstering. The booming bass line becomes bouncily prominent here as well, adding to the melodic charm throughout the production.
